- Provide drop in community therapy in partnership with the Brandeis Counseling Center

Brandeis Business New Student Orientation
|
|
|
Mandatory International Business School Orientation:
- Thursday, August 22
- Monday, August 26
All business school students are automatically registered for both days of Brandeis International Business School Orientation. Here is the orientation schedule. During check-in on Thursday, August 22 you will receive a welcome back-pack along with a printed orientation schedule, name tag, and table tent for use when you attend your classes.

- If you have a preferred name you would like to print instead of your first name. Please update your orientation registration with the preferred name by Wednesday, August 14.
- If you have any food allergies, please indicate in your orientation registration.
- If you have an extenuating circumstance and cannot attend orientation, please contact your Program Advisor.

*Note: Students entering the PhD in International Economics and Finance program - Please plan on being on campus for PhD Bootcamp and Orientation – Monday, August 19 – Monday, August 26. More details will be available soon.

Orientation is required for all new students.*
|
*5-year students who enrolled for Fall 2023 but are starting their graduate year in Fall 2024 are invited to this Orientation, but not assigned an Orientation Leader. Students with questions or those would like an assigned Orientation Leader can reach out to their Program Advisors.
|

|
As a reminder, in some cases, students with previous background in a subject may choose to exempt from one or more courses. Students can exempt from the FIN 203a Financial Management or the ECON 210a Introduction to Probability and Statistics for Business and Economics class by taking the exemption exam offered during Orientation. Students may sign-up to take this exemption exam through the forms at the links below:

Students may request an exemption for other courses by submitting course syllabi and transcripts from your previous institution. Syllabi can be submitted through the Course Exemption Petition Form. Please complete this form if you wish to be granted exemption from a course. Your materials will be sent to your Program Advisor for review.

Global Gala: Coming this Fall Semester

Global Gala is making a return this Fall semester!
|
Each year the OAASE hosts a formal event, and this year it's Global Gala! Everyone is encouraged to wear cultural attire as we come together as a community to celebrate the vibrant cultures that make up the business school.

Alumni Weekend Student Liaisons Needed!
|
- Want to show off what you know about Brandeis?
- What to get paid to drive a golf cart?
- Love working events on campus and getting to know people (especially alumni!)?
|
Apply to be a Alumni Weekend Student Liaison! Student Liaisons will be working events during the weekend as well as guiding guests around campus. Applicants will receive free t-shirts, hourly payment, and ability to build relationships with alumni for your future careers. Applicants need to be available the weekend of September 27 - 29, and training is mandatory early in September. Position can be found on Brandeis Workday under Alumni Weekend Student Liaison (R0010482).

1) International Student Visa Information If you are an international student needing an I-20/DS-2019, you should have received an email from the International Students and Scholars Office (ISSO) inviting you to complete the VIDOF in the ISSO Portal. Your request should be submitted no later than July 15. Please contact ISSO (isso@brandeis.edu) with any questions.
|
2) Brandeis ID and Email Set-Up Your Brandeis Student ID was sent to you from our Admissions Team. Please check that email and use that assigned number to set up your account.
|
3) New Student Website In addition to emails from the OAASE, we will post orientation related information to the New Student Website that will help you prepare for your arrival.
|
4) Slack! You should have received an invite from Admissions to our Slack community. If you need an updated invitation to Slack, please submit this form to receive a new invitation. Slack is an online platform that allows you to post and view events, meet your peers and connect with departments at the Business School.
